Because apparently we can't have a website anymore without a blog
The blah-blah-blog
Actually, I post a lot of information related to climate change almost daily elsewhere.
But, as time permits, I'm going to put the esoterica I encounter related to climate change
here rather than trying to update the various pages. So this will be reverse in chronological rather
than logically organized within the structure of the rest of this website. Please don't
rely on this as a consistent and current source for climate change information updates.
Sadly, we cannot rely on our corporate-controlled mass media for good information on this.
I update this site on my own time, and making a living has to take priority.

Coal Knew, Too (HuffPost)
A newly unearthed journal from 1966 shows the coal industry, like the oil industry, was long aware of the threat of climate change.

Climate Change A Risk To Financial System, Bank Of Canada's Stephen Poloz Says (HuffPost)
Or perhaps this is the future we are prepared to accept rather than act today to prevent it.
Speaking of a day for thinking, is this the future we want?

If November 11th is a day dedicated to remembering the horrors of war and the sacrifices of
people to overturn the subjugation of humans by megalomaniacs, perhaps today is a day we should spend some time
thinking about where we are in terms of real democracy, and how we treat each other, recognizing that as
humans we are much more alike than we differ. Our DNA is essentially identical. We value personal security,
having enough to eat, sufficient resources (income) to survive and even thrive, to act as social creatures,
to have families and friends, and for most of us, to live in peace and stability. We know that the biggest
threats to this are the coming consequences of catastrophic climate change, and the greed of a very small
minority who want more power and more money, which they can only obtain by taking those from the rest of us.
Yesterday, we honoured and thanked those who made big sacrifices so we could be free citizens.
Today, we should ask ourselves if the current state of our world measures up to what they sought to protect.
Tomorrow, we can act to make the world a place worthy of the sacrifices of those who have gone before us.

The world’s largest single fleet of smart batteries (Smart Energy Interntional)
“We want to accelerate the global transition to a zero-carbon energy system. Smart charging of batteries in
homes and electric vehicles provides the critical tool to help achieve decarbonisation by storing and
shifting solar and wind resources. At the same time, it helps save money for consumers and reduce
infrastructure cost.”
